WordPress is a high quality (yet low cost - it’s FREE) program to manage blogs. But it’s a great fit for creating niche websites too - the articles you need for search engine traffic are a natural for WordPress to handle, and it takes care of the day to day chores of keeping everything up and running - and linked together as you add pages of search-engine-friendly content.
But while WordPress is wonderful for blogging, it needed a bit more for business - so my report explained how to make a blog site into a niche site - with just a few tweaks:
- Search engines LOVE fresh content - so I explain how to keep that fresh content arriving 24/7 - without a lot of work (with my now-famous ‘AutoPost’ plugin).
- Search engines take a cue from your site as to what’s important or not (using HTML tags like <h1> or <small>) - and I tell you what to use (Most most standard blog designs are horribly bad in this, so search engines focus on the wrong things, your Google or Yahoo or MSN listings aren’t focused - and you lose customers!)
- Setting up a blog is relatively simple - but setting it up with a good foundation isn’t, because if you forget something, you can’t redo it without a lot of pain (kind of like a real foundation…). I tell you the ‘gotchas’ to watch out for.
But there’s more. After thousands of sales and two years, I’ve decided the third edition needed something to make blogs even simpler to use…
